What is difference between a crewed Yacht and a cruise ship or shore resorts?
The difference is we offer privacy, a relaxed athmosphere and holiday created specifically for your personal needs.
The Yachts and crews are dedicated only to you and your guests from the moment you step onboard our Yachts. With a private yacht you can simply anchor where and when you want, find beaches that are accessible only by boat (tender), and transit to these places in luxury and style, having
fun out at sea.
Children on Yachts?
Of course ! We take care to ensure extra measures are put in place for safety and entertainment of Children onboard our Yachts, but please note that you are ultimately held responsibile for their safety and behaviour. Crew on board are responsibile for yacht and navigation and can not be held and responsibile for children while on board of yachts.
Pets on Yachts?
Unfortunately pets are not allowed on board of yachts. Crews have to maintain highest standards in regards to cleanliness. Pets are even more sensitive than humans and therefore longer cruising can be uncomfortable for pets.
Passport and visas?
Yes, guests require passports onboard and approved visas for Indonesia, other Visas if applicable, are the responsibility of the charterer and must be secured in advance to the charter.
Planing menus?
Villa Bella Luxury Yacht Charter team will send you a food preference list ( APA � Advanced Provisioning Allowance) before commencement of charter. When you complete the list we/crews will be familiar with your favorite foods and beverages. Your private Chef will do his/her outmost to satisfy your requirements.
What if we need/require special menu/food?
It is critical to learn in advance for the crew are you suffering from any allergies or serious aversions. If so please specify in preference list.
What is APA ? Advanced Provisioning Allowance ?
These extra expenses are the provisioning for guests, scuba diving, laundry etc. Normally it is about 25% of the contract value and all items are specified in an Addendum attached to the charter contracts providing breakdown analysis of the costs. Final accounts will be produced by the Captain at the end of the charter on presence of the Broker and any unused funds will be refunded in full to the Charterer directly. If the funds are not sufficient, the Captain will advise you accordingly and bills will be settled upon disembarkation
Seasickness during charter?
If you are worried about seasickness check with your local pharmacist for special medication before departure. If you are first time charterer, notify Villa Bella’s experienced staff as they will try to make your route and or cruising as comfortable as possible by recommending routes in protected waters and out of bad weather conditions.We also carry anti-seasickness medication on board should you recuire it.
Smoking on board of yachts?
Smoking is not permitted i.e. strictly forbiden in the staterooms or cabins. We do allow smoking out on deck.
Laundry facilities on yacht?
Villa Bella Yachts are fully equipped with laundry facilities on board, however crew will assist you even with taking your laundry to the professionals ashore.
Reachability during the cruise/charter?
Our yachts are equipped with the latest communication technology for radio transmition. This is to ensure any safety procedures can be carried out thouroghly,or used incase of emergancies. We also use it to communicate with our ground team should you require additional supplies onboard.
Privacy ?
Crews are experienced and carefully seleceted for maintaing the highest level of hospitality and service All of them are professionals and discreet in any way, you can be sure that your privacy is guaranteed.
Do guests tips for crew?
Crew tips are mandatory and are already inclueded in the invoicing. It is entirely a matter for your personal discretion if you wish to tip the crew further. If you are satisfied with the level of services on board, a usual gratuity amount is from 5 % to10% of the charter fee. It is recommeded to handed to the captain to distribute fairly amongst all members of the crew, but again it is up to you.
Is there Insurance during the charter?
It is clearly stated in the charter contarct what is insured.
The yacht is insured by the owner during your charter, however its recommend in some cases that you purchase liability coverage to protect you and your guests as well as personal effects from any unforeseen situations which could arrise.
Charter costs, terms and conditions?
The daily rates are quoted in U.S dollars, our rates listing and can be changed without any notice. The charter agreement is standard for all yacht chartering companies in Bali. Terms of refund in case of cancellation are specified in the charter agreement.
The charter fee also includes all operational expenses, such us crew's wages and their food, insurance on yacht and crew and harbour charges including water and/or electricity taken from the shore. Crewed yachts are also outfitted, at no extra charge, with leisure equipment such as dinghy with outboard motor, snorkeling equipment, fishing equipment, television, video, stereo and often many more items, are subject of the yacht inventory and it is not equal i.e. applicable to all yachts, as equipment varies from yacht to yacht.
The charterer will be charged extra, at cost to the yacht, for all other operating expenses while on board such us; V.A.T., wine and bonded goods (liquors), personal laundry, and private marina fees.
We are at your disposal to analyze your trips parameters and consult with the captain to provide an estimate of these charges in advance. A good rule of thumb is to allow APA or 25% of the charter fee towards expenses. This does include tips to the crew.
What is the difference between Motorized and sailing Yachts?
Motor yachts combine style, comfort and luxury. Most areas are usually large while their indoor areas cater to guests' requirements and comfort. Motor yachts might be either heavy displacement, with cruising speed of between 10 and 15 knots, or fast motor yachts capable of speeds in excess of 20 knots. A motor Yacht ensures that more time and energy of the crew is directed towards satisfing the guests needs and requirements.
What itinerary should I choose?
Villa Bella staff including crew onboard the Yachts will give their outmost to assist you in regards to selection of places, islands, i.e. in creation of itinerary as per your requests and desired activities
What to bring on a yacht charter ?
Crewed yacht charter is a relaxed kind of holiday and dressing in Bali or other Indonesian Isalnds is casual. For clothing bring bathing suits, cotton shorts, T-shirts, an extra sweater and long cotton pants for cool nights and a light foul-weather gear for the occasional rainy days. We have a no shoe policy onboard our Yachts, but do bring shoes apropriate for trips onto the beach and/or Marina, ie.sandles or trainers. Sunglasses with UV protection and sun lotions, caps, digital camers so that you can show your friends what your vacation looked like. Everything else you might require is already onboard at your dissposal.
